Account data — your email address, collected when you create an account.
Health profile data — information you voluntarily provide to generate your meal plan, including:
Usage data — how many meal plans you have generated this month and your subscription status. We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or browsing behaviour beyond what is necessary to provide the service.
Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the hermeal service.
Your health profile (condition type, dietary preferences, goals, and notes) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your meal plan. Anthropic processes this data solely to generate the response and does not use it to train their models. No personally identifiable information (such as your email address) is included in the data sent to Anthropic. Anthropic's privacy policy is available at anthropic.com/privacy.
We retain your account and health profile data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your email address, health profile, and generated plans are permanently deleted from our database within 30 days. Payment records may be retained by Stripe for the period required by applicable law.

hermeal is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
hermeal generates meal plans for informational and nutritional support purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making significant changes to your diet.
We comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We collect only the minimum personal information necessary for the purposes described above, obtain meaningful consent, and provide individuals with access to their information upon request. If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legal basis for processing your data is your consent (provided when you create an account) and the performance of the contract (providing the meal plan service you subscribed to).
